Renaissance Fair

A week or so ago was the Renaissance Fair for the 6th graders at Eagle Valley Elementary. I think Kayla had a ton of fun.

(off with her head)
She chose to do Ye Old Rootbeer as her booth which worked out great for her mom that works during the night time and can't handle one more thing to prepare.

So, a couple of two liters, a borrowed costume, and 3 hours later.....the fun was had. Not all the fun was had by the kids. My friend Jen and I were "given" a treat to try by another mother or someone's grandmother. She told Jen and I that it was a Renaissance time period rice krispie treat. Um. No, not even close! It was made of bread crumbs, honey and ginger. Yuck. Needless to say we couldn't allow this treat to go to waste so what else would we do but give it to our kids. We told Kayla and her friend Brayden (Jen's son) that it was good and gave it to them to try. A picture is worth a thousand words.
