Like mother like daughter....

While I have grown up to enjoy a clean and organized home I didn't always have these habits. I think that my parents will most appriciate some pictures that I took of Kayla's room after the weekend. She knows how to clean her room, and does so frequently, but I also like to do a tidy up in my kids rooms for them. They work hard at school and have other activities and its just something I like to do for them. I had a Jane (our babysitter turned housekeeper/just part of the family) as a kid that did the same for me. Well, when I went to work on Thursday her room was clean and tidy. I didn't pay attention to their rooms much over the weekend because when I am working we go into survival mode, it's food and sleep and that's about it. So, this morning when I went to get her sheets to start my laundry, this is what I found..........


I'm pretty sure that her closet threw up or something. I'm not sure. I do however have faith in her future as a homemaker. I know from experience that there will come a time in her life that she will be able to "see" the mess. For now, I guess that I will just take my dad's advice to mom and just close the door. If only our kids could stay young forever.....
